The Homage Skate Academy is a place for people interested in learning to skateboard. Our instructors love to skate, love to teach, and have been skating and teaching for years. We think that skateboarding can be a fun and positive influence on anyone's life, so in addition to teaching how to use the skateboard, we also teach students about the history, the potential for creativity and self-expression, and the potential for re-imagining the use of one's surroundings.
Our facilities allow for a teaching program suited to anyone interested in putting their two feet on a board: whether young or old, big or small, interested in learning to commute around the city, pop flat-ground tricks, grind ledges and rails or skate transition, we can customize our instruction to fit the style and interests of each student.
Please keep in mind that skateboarding for many is a life-long commitment. Just like with lessons in how to play a musical instrument, without practicing, one can expect must slower progress in skill level.
